Fear of Aging

Most of us have a fear of aging. What is it that causes this fear and how can you minimize it?
Because the aging process includes, deterioration, mobility decrease, less skin elasticity, ailments, and poor or possibly loss of senses and body function control we fear and sometimes deny aging. This fear and/or denial can contribute to aging less than gracefully because it causes us to ignore the process. It is important and healthier to accept the fact that aging is a part of life. Acknowledgment helps to put action into this reality. In return, we are more likely to pay more attention to how we are taking care of ourselves so that we impact how the aging process affects us before it happens. It is easier to maintain fitness and good health than it is to work your way back to fitness and good health. Knowing you take good care of yourself, are fit and in good health minimizes some of the concerns of aging.
